Timeline of the Logo Usage1905–1920s: The University of Texas designs and debuts the earliest variations of the "Block T" and the interlocking "UT" logos.1983: The University of Tennessee begins using a highly similar interlocking "UT" logo.1986: Texas challenges Tennessee's trademark application. To avoid a court battle, the schools sign a geographic trademark agreement.1998: Tennessee largely removes the interlocking logo from its main football field, prioritizing its orange "Power T" logo instead.

False information, Texas doesn’t schedule fcs teams like the sec team have always done. One time in 34 years
Why Texas Avoids FCS TeamsThe 2006 exception happened purely due to a scheduling anomaly. Texas needed a final non-conference game at the last minute and refused to sign a home-and-home agreement with standard FBS teams. Sam Houston State agreed to a one-time payout to fill the slot.Aside from that single game, the Longhorns athletic department consistently schedules exclusively against FBS-level opponents.
