This is Bunnie Cannon. If you have any questions I am happy to answer in a private email openly and honestly. Our family couldn’t be prouder of Joe and LSU. I said what I did because we wanted him to be prepared. With great honor comes sacrifice. He will be an amazing ambassador for LSU and Louisiana. He is an incredible young man.
I have worked at LSU for 32 years and have loved every minute. I hold two degrees from LSU. My father worked until the day he died signing autographs and appearing at events for LSU in order to help.
Yes he was arrested for counterfeiting in the 80s. He made a mistake. Apologized and paid for it in time and in more ways than you can imagine.

Someone once said there is enough room in this world for many lights. You don’t have to blow out one candle to light another. They were both amazing people and LSU is an amazing place. We have two heroes both very different and equally as talented.
