Exactly!!!! Moreover, they are labeling the young man a "Pledge Candidate"!!! What does that mean? He was going through rush, therefore he was a "Rushee", not affiliated with any fraternity. He was no more a member of DTD than he was a member of any other frat on campus. Rushees don't get "Hazed"!!! Unfortunately, in some cases, pledges do get hazed during "Hell Week", but they have already committed to, paid dues, and signed paperwork for membership. This rushee had not done that yet!!! They are using a broad paint brush using their new "Hazing Law" to test its validity. In this case they are conflating terms - Pledge Candidate/Rushee, Social drinking/Hazing!!!

I’m sorry you feel so intimidated by another university. Florida, Texas, Oregan, Ohio, Indiana, etc. the list goes on for States with two major universities. BTW, with the name change, Louisiana dropped it’s double directional status. And yes, Louisiana by student body, is the second largest university in the state. As for athletics, yes Louisiana has a long way to go if they ever want to be on the same competitive level as LSU. Meanwhile, chill out!! No reason to have a stroke!!! Go Louisiana!!!!!!!!

How can a state like Louisiana "Feel Good" about being last in all the good categories and first in all the worst?
The economy is booming, except in Louisiana. Unemployment is the lowest in decades, except in Louisiana. More jobs available now than in decades, except Louisiana. Perhaps Democrats "Feel Good" about driving Louisiana deeper into the quagmire of SUCK!!!!!!!

The people in Bossier City might take exception to your statement. Fortunately, you have little say (other than you comments) on the lights in Bossier City.

In a Republican Majority State- House & Senate, the Democrat Governor has the authority of a Line-Item Veto. I don't believe either Chamber currently has the ability to override those vetoes. Just sayin'
