Chick fil A and founders are funding groups that are actively fighting gay rights and even bills that support the death of gays in foreign countries. Do you all not know how to use Google?

Possibly the right to a job! The right to hold someone’s hand and not get beat up by some of you jerks on this message board.
Y’all are ignorant. Doesn’t mean you are right. The Supreme Court just heard a case this last week that may possibly allow gays to be fired JUST for being gay and no other valid reason. None of you straight snowflakes on here have to worry about that. Learn a little compassion. Get informed.

I think you might have made half the brains malfunction here. People are likely just ashamed if they support Trump. You can’t pretend he isn’t racist anymore. You can’t pretend he isn’t corrupt. You can’t pretend he is faithful or Christian. People can’t pretend they are any of those things if they support him either at this point.

I mean I am more worried about the Trump lying, doing dirty deals and abandoning our allies right now but sure... spend your time on Disney clips yo distract yourself....

For the record, Moody predicted Clinton would win in 2016 and was wrong.... so not sure how this model is so “highly reliable.” LINK

There is concrete evidence that those who watch a Fox News are the least informed or “most delusional” so I am not sure what evidence you hold for this claim...
re: If Biden's Campaign is Done Over Ukraine & China, Doesn't That Prove Trump Was Right....

Interestingly we found out Rudy accepted 500k from the indicted Ukraine officials today. How can anyone not see that Trump and his associates are total criminals themselves. They are taking money from these foreign countries and trying to get them to directly meddle in our elections. We are also abandoning our allies the Kurds in the region who helped us in our fight against ISIS. All this benefiting the Ukraine and Russia. How do people not see the corruption. Military leaders from both parties are condemning these moves!

Rather than focusing just on the election shouldn’t we care that our president and his equally corrupt associates are braking the law and scamming our country? The only reason Democrats are having to do this solo now is because Republicans are still too scared to get some balls and at least let this obviously necessary investigation happen.

Same could be said about most of the blind conservatives here...
President abandoned our Kurd allies which helps Russia...
Posted by MobileLegend5 on 10/14/19 at 9:41 pm
So are y’all ever going to acknowledge that this man is ruining our country’s reputation globally? Even Republicans can’t defend this and the president hasn’t given any reasoning for why he is letting our allies who helped in the war on terror be killed. :(
re: Our President is tweeting again about Hurricane Dorian & Alabama!
Posted by MobileLegend5 on 9/6/19 at 12:38 pm to Y.A. Tittle
This gets to the point that the REASON no one relied on Trump's incorrect and outdated information about Alabama is because the "fake news" aka EVERY news channel including Fox called Trump out for being wrong, lying and creating a FAKE map for a category 5 hurricane! If all people had was Trump then there would have been unwarranted evacuations. Also, why is Trump still hung up on this crap? Shouldn't he be addressing and focusing on those who WERE actually affected by the hurricane? Dude needs to get a grip.
re: Trump team selling Sharpies now LOL
Posted by MobileLegend5 on 9/6/19 at 12:21 pm to NashvilleTider
No one else even slightly concerned he is more obsessed with his own sharpie drawings and being wrong about Alabama instead of actually focusing on the hurricane and those places that ARE being affected? If this was anyone else y'all would tell them to get over the fact they were wrong and get to the real work.
re: Focus on the Family is actually pro-LGBTQ *people*
Posted by MobileLegend5 on 9/6/19 at 12:19 pm to RidiculousHype
How ignorant are you? They very much do not like or support LGBTQ people. Here are just a few examples of the crap that organization does....
- Focus On The Family has raised over $515 Million over the past five years, making it one of the most well funded anti-LGBTQ organizations in America. They invest in public education campaigns against LGBTQ equality, while their related organization CitizenLink supports radical anti-LGBTQ candidates who work against basic civil rights and legal protections.
- Focus On The Family promotes the harmful and discredited practice of “conversion therapy,” claiming “just as there are many paths that may lead a person to experience same-sex attractions, there are likewise multiple ways out.” For years, they were behind Love Won Out, a national tour preaching that same-sex attraction is ‘preventable and treatable.’
- In fact, even after the leading national organization promoting “conversion therapy” – Exodus International – shuttered their doors and apologized for the harm they had caused, Focus On The Family continues to endorse junk science rejected by every major medical and mental health organization to this day, blaming molestation, divorce, and straight up “rebellion against societal norms” for people’s sexual orientation.
- Focus On The Family opposes allowing same-sex couples to adopt, saying the children of gay and lesbian parents are “human guinea pigs” in the “same-sex family experiment.”
- Focus On The Family believes that they know better than psychiatrists – actual doctors – when it comes to treating transgender people. They called trans people “mentally ill” suffering from a “devastating condition.” They also believe that living according to their affirmed gender identity ignores reality “like Cinderella in a fantasy world.”
- Focus On The Family accused anti-bullying programs in schools of “promoting homosexuality” and creating “a system ripe for reverse discrimination.” They even created a whole website to help parents fight against programs teaching tolerance towards LGBTQ students.
- Focus On the Family declared that anti- workplace discrimination legislation “must be stopped” because if it passed, employers might just face consequences for firing LGBTQ people for no other reason than their “moral convictions.”
- Focus On The Family wants business owners to have the right to turn away LGBTQ customers just because they believe their religion requires them to oppose their very existence.

But there is data showing gun legislation CAN make a difference. Don’t give up so quickly. :)
CITATION AND CONTENT:
State gun laws, gun ownership, and mass shootings in the US: cross sectional time series
Accepted 28 January 2019
Abstract
Objective To determine whether restrictiveness-permissiveness of state gun laws or gun ownership are associated with mass shootings in the US.
Design Cross sectional time series.
Setting and population US gun owners from 1998-2015.
Exposure An annual rating between 0 (completely restrictive) and 100 (completely permissive) for the gun laws of all 50 states taken from a reference guide for gun owners traveling between states from 1998 to 2015. Gun ownership was estimated annually as the percentage of suicides committed with firearms in each state.
Main outcome measure Mass shootings were defined as independent events in which four or more people were killed by a firearm. Data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Uniform Crime Reporting System from 1998-2015 were used to calculate annual rates of mass shootings in each state. Mass shooting events and rates were further separated into those where the victims were immediate family members or partners (domestic) and those where the victims had other relationships with the perpetrator (non-domestic).
Results Fully adjusted regression analyses showed that a 10 unit increase in state gun law permissiveness was associated with a significant 11.5% (95% confidence interval 4.2% to 19.3%, P=0.002) higher rate of mass shootings. A 10% increase in state gun ownership was associated with a significant 35.1% (12.7% to 62.7%, P=0.001) higher rate of mass shootings. Partially adjusted regression analyses produced similar results, as did analyses restricted to domestic and non-domestic mass shootings.
Conclusions States with more permissive gun laws and greater gun ownership had higher rates of mass shootings, and a growing divide appears to be emerging between restrictive and permissive states.

Speaking of being simple minded and not looking up data for yourself... you graph represents larger numbers but our gun laws are not truly national. They vary state by state so let’s look at the numbers on a state by state level...
SPOILER: States with more permissive gun laws and greater gun ownership had higher rates of mass shootings, and a growing divide appears to be emerging between restrictive and permissive states. (Sorry for those of you who don’t like or want real research of facts on the issue.)
Citation (worth a read before you argue or down vote) for the research recently coming out of Columbia: LINK

Where are y’all a facts? Jesus. The only photo he liked on His Twitter account was Trump spelled with guns. And if you read the entire manifesto and don’t just conveniently cherry pick a small section you will see his rhetoric is that if the current president and the Republic party. Don’t just keep blinders on and chose the paragraph that makes you feel better.
He killed Hispanics because he didn’t want them to take over Texas and make it a Democrat stronghold. That is the EXACT OPPOSITE of being a Democrat supporter.
Bet you didn’t do well on your SAT reading comprehension.

Gun control laws or regulations do not mean repealing the second amendment. Stop making “slippery slope” arguments. You should have learned in high school that that is a juvenile and uneducated logical fallacy.

Referencing the damage done by bombs does not make the damage done by these killers and their weapons any less troublesome. It is just a poor logical distraction away from what is actually being discussed here.
And lots of things might be “fun.” I own guns. I have been a fun instructor in my lifetime. But something being “fun” doesn’t make It necessary at all. I would find It fun to shoot a rocket launcher or drive a tank down the freeway... but I am not allowed to.
It would be great if there could be real research and cost-benefit research done in to this issue. The NRA has actually lobbied for funding blocks though at the national level making such research and facts hard to come by. (Hence why all the internet trolls so quickly find fodder and just make ridiculous anecdotal claims or y’all a out hog invasions.)
It would be much better to all take our emotions out of this a little and really think about what our country could do better to help keep everyone safe. We can start by not demonizing our fellow Americans every time we talk about walls or immigration. We need to start humanizing each other in politics. The shooter yesterday drove ten hours from Plano just to target Hispanics. His white supremacist manifesto was awful.
There is a problem. And all y’all in this burning building pretending everything is fine and we all need assault rifles and a man to protect America from foreigners look silly. America is at risk and It is from people we created ourselves. :(

In less than a minute the shooter killed 9 people and injured 26... let that sink in. Less than a minute. But yeah, feral hogs are the real threat to America so we need these weapons out there for everyone to buy and use. Less than a damn minute y’all.

I would think all your self proclaimed gun experts on this forum could connect the dots and see the similarities between all the weapons used in the cited attacks... guess you aren’t all as informed as you like to believe. There is no doesn’t seem to be a need for these in the general population. The dangers posed are greater than the benefits. But y’all continue to just try and cut hairs with your definitions rather than talk about solutions...
