James Franklin 2013 to Penn State. Usually our coaches fail and get canned. Last basketball coach was Eddie Fogler to South Carolina in 93 after a season much like the one we’re having this year.

Don’t sleep on little Tyler Tanner from Vandy. Kid is tearing it up this year.

Kind of thread started by a fan living in the past, knowing the tide is turning in the great state of Tennessee.
Beats me. What’s the equivalent of living in one of the worst states in the US in the midst of a dumpster fire of a season and witnessing the team who’s coach you stole actually get better after he left?
Well, 11 teams in the SEC have easier schedules than us. Vandy will finish in the top 3 of the SEC. Laugh it up while you can ladies. Vandy athletics as a whole are doing a lot better than the vast majority of SEC schools. Currently top 15 in every sport.
Georgia has a pretty solid team this year.
Vandy will get one tomorrow. Dores by at least 14.

Undefeated with more quad 1 and 2 wins than anyone in the SEC. Very nice.
When he’s on, he’s one of the best shooters in the country.
80-50 midway through the second half.

Lea is one of seven coaches to win SEC COY in back-to-back years, joining Kirby Smart (2021-22), Nick Saban (2008-09), Steve Spurrier (1995-96), Pat Dye (1987-88), Bear Bryant (1964-65, 1978-79) and Johnny Vaught (1947-48, 1954-55).

That’s some elite company indeed.
The University of Tennessee is located in a beautiful part of the state. It’s a shame really. They should move it to Memphis.

Indiana would be 7-4 against Vandy’s schedule tops.

Laugh it up fellas. He’s 23 years old. Not even close to being the oldest QB in the league.

He’s played 4 years of NCAA football, has a college degree and is working on his masters. What he’s done at Vanderbilt is nothing short of amazing. He’s the best player in the country this year hands down.

Kid grew up without a father and is finding his way.

Happy Veterans Day

I know there are several of us on here that are serving and have served in the Armed Forces of the United States. Thank you all for what you’ve done and are doing.

Happy Veterans Day!

It’s one of those plays where you can watch it and see whatever you want to see. I feel bad that the kid got hurt. I never want to see anyone get injured.

I really do think the Vandy defender was just trying to hold on and not let Pribula get loose. Maybe he didn’t hear the whistle because of the crowd noise. Maybe I just don’t want to think that any of our players would try to hurt anyone on purpose. We all know about the pinching and nut twisting that goes on in piles, but this was out in the open. It just looks like he was holding on for dear life to me.

You absolutely can’t tell from that video if it was dirty or not. He had a hold of the leg and held on for dear life. Wasn’t going to let him score.

I’ve never seen anything dirty from our players. They do run their mouths a little but they’ve been beaten to a pulp for years and they’re not taking it this year.

I don’t think it was a dirty play. It sucks that he was injured, but those kinds of plays, where a guy is held by the leg, fighting for yardage are brutal. You guys act like he was doing a gator roll. All I saw was him holding on for dear life and the other defenders plow Pribula over, resulting in the injury.
Lea would entertain offers for no other reason than to hold the admins feet to fire and get more NIL/ facilities.

Vandy already has a fairly new indoor practice field but they’ll build them a new one, with top notch amenities to go along with it. The stadium renovation will then resume with upper decks on the sides, chair backs and more suites.

Vandy is going to capitalize on the Titans sucking arse. They are becoming the big ticket in Nashville. Celebrities are jumping on board.

Now, if the admin for some reason balks at Lea’s demands then he could leave out of frustration but I don’t think they’re going to. Vandy is his dream job and he wants to build the program into a powerhouse.
