The Director’s Cup is what it is. But in a perfect world it would be weighted. It won’t be, but there is no way the average fan considers women’s rowing or tennis to be as important as football or basketball. But the directors cup does.
But it has nothing to do with what people think is important. It's about across the board athletic department excellence. If your school completes in a sport they want, and I assume you want, them to do well.
What are you doing here? Why do you care about SEC fans not caring about you and your teams?
Remember when the aggies made a documentary about a high school player named Brandon Jones they thought they were getting, and then he went to Texas? Your bitterness goes back a ways.

The story

Its just crazy coming into threads like this, and people are still stuck in 2010. Look at the draft tomorrow and see how many big ten players go in the first round compared to the sec.

Over the past five years (2021–2025), the SEC had 270 NFL draft picks, while the Big Ten had 169

Please STFU already

Why you do this? Now Utrans fans will feel left out and start 5 more threads about big brother Aggie

We also embarrassed your baseball team a few weeks ago. But that's becoming a tradition.
Yeah, huh? We swept you last year. That's a tradition, retard?

Is this another thread where the schools with like 20 Olympic sports and only 2 other teams to compete against brag about championships?
With all due respect, your school completes in those same sports, and so does everyone else in the SEC. Texas doesn't compete in sports y'all don't. We don't even do wrestling or gymnastics like some SEC schools do.

We just do very well in the sports we compete in, of course, just like your schools try to do.

The guy you bring in will be better than your freshman, so he plays. But he's good for 1-2 years at most; and because your freshmen don't get on the field, they bolt into the portal for playing time. So you then have to hit the portal, to replace your portal guys.

This is it. But we don't have any one feeder school, and I doubt anyone else does. It's just.. the portal.

Thanks Capn Bevo. That is very interesting.
Thanks goes to Grok. I just asked it to put that together, and even format it so I could copy/paste on SEC Rant. Boom, 5 seconds later there it is.

At least you posted this before yesterday's game. After would have been really pathetic.
This was clearly made by someone who hates Texas, so people will hate Texas more. #5 is a joke. #10 seems about right
Ohhh you're talking about Kentucky? A landlocked, irrelevant, little pipsqueak of a state. Horses, burboun, basketball, and "lush pastures". Congratulations, you have better soil. Ours has liquid gold underneath. You started out this debate being dismissive of Texas because it benefits from its geology then here you are talking about your states lush hills and pastures. It's hypocrisy! Regardless, now we can agree that geology and geography matter, immensely.

Texas is a GLOBAL force with an economy larger than most countries! If Texas seceded the US economy and national defense would crumble. No one would notice if Kentucky did the same. Nice talk, man. But come on, Kentucky?!
A tree lined road? Wow, okay

I'm sure a Longhorn will be along to tell everyone that we don't care as much at the Aggies as they care about us.

which is total bullshite. We care every bit as much as they do
One is normal rivalry hatred. The other is like a mosquito that never stops buzzing around your head. It can talk and is calling you little brother in your ear. It won't die no matter how often you squash it. That leads to pretty intense hatred.

Aggies are way more entertaining, so there's just a lot more to talk about. OU fans are pretty normal. If somebody asks you to tell them about your neighbor and your neighbor is David Koresh, it's going to be a long thread.

I have to go to the Middle East to get a dust storm like West Texas
Yeah that's called a dessert. Texas has practically every type of geography you can think of. it's a big state. Let's compare it to your state. No? That's what I thought.

I am not but you can't drill where there is no oil so it's an amazing leg up and yet Texas still has some of the most podunk places in the Country.
It still has some of the most podunk places in the country? That's your argument? Ridiculous. Does Georgia or whatever state you're from? fricking stupid, man.

Also sit on top of massive oil reserves and the industries that support it. More of an outlier based on geology.
Texans created the "industries that support it" and most of the cutting edge technology used today. Don't be jealous. Texas is part of the US and what makes us the greatest country on earth.
