Texas Tech has a D-line that would be in the top-tier of the SEC or Big 10. BYU simply couldn't do a thing, even after getting a second crack at it, because they were destroyed on the LOS.

TTU's problem is offense. They should have beaten BYU by 40+ but can't score in the red zone. They remind me more of Oklahoma than anyone else.

I thought we got worse as the season went on and our defense ended up being a disaster again.
Like others pointed out, the schedule got more difficult, but injuries/lack of depth will just murder you in this conference as well. I presume MSU will want to play this game, and they should be rested and ready to go. Good luck!
Didn't Penn State just do this w/ James Franklin, and he won 2 playoff games last year?

The decision: do we protect Bama, or do we protect ND. They chose to protect Bama.
Actually, it was a choice between a brand (ND), and a brand + conference (SEC). Brand + Conference wins.
It really is a shame. What other SEC team goes 10-2 and NOT get in? Mississippi St.? Not even sure about them depending on their quality wins/losses, but I did not see an SEC team getting left out at 10-2.

I thought people were doing it intentionally. If they weren't, they will now

It was 42-0 at the end of the first quarter.
This is inexcusable for any FBS team, let alone a P4 team. I like Fran Brown, but man, that is just terrible.

As time passes many don't even remember the Aggie Bonfire falling in '99 as they were too young or not born. Many SEC folks probably had little idea of Bonfire as well. Make no mistake though, it was something completely over the top and unique. Long thread here so feel free to check out but if you want to understand a little more about A&M read on.
This was very educational. Thanks for sharing. A tragedy in more ways than one.

If he loses, he's a 50 year old pervert that needs to be on a registration list.
So true.
Since no one from UGA responded, I'll bear this burden:

I have no idea.

There's no guarantee we're making the playoffs at all. I don't think we should be talking about a first round bye.
This. We'd be fortunate not to drop a game before the season is out. Outside of Charlotte, anyone left on our schedule could beat us based on the way this season has played out.

The only thing Auburn has 9 of is their current losing streak to Georgia.
Amazing :rotflmao:

His players never quit on him. He never quit on Florida knowing he was canned either way. He coached his team to win yesterday. He could have said to hell with it snd let assistants do all the work. Muschamp, Durkin, McElwain, Shannon, Mullen, Knox, and Napier.

Florida AD and boosters need to look in the mirror.
Even as a UGA alum, I found it difficult to not like Napier. He seems like a quality person. Some people just aren't cut out for certain roles.
Good question with a heavy sprinkle of troll. Well done.

I think he would prefer staying at Ole Miss. He does well, not in any danger of being fired, and has a reasonable fan base. He couldn't win less than 8 games consecutively without heat, but their typical out of conference schedule (which will be impacted by the 9-game move) along with solid funding makes it a great gig. Just my humble opinion.

Why conservatives always claim something goes against their religion beliefs but have so much hate in their heart? You can’t have hate in your heart and be a child of God. God doesn’t like racist or bigots, etc.
I'm not a spiritual man, and I am fully aware that radical gender ideology has no place in society, let alone in academia. It is anti-science, promotes mental illness, and puts children at harm. A ridiculous ideology born because people have it so good, you have to come up with insanity to bolster victimhood. Fire that bullshite into the sun.

Georgia has lost 3 of their last 10 games against p4 teams.

Not all P4 teams are created equal. All of those teams were top 10 when we played them, and all of them on the road. We also still won the SEC.
If UF goes 8-4, he should get an extension, and I honestly think being at UF will be a better experience for him. Obviously money talks, but Bama would have to fork out $70 million to fire Calen at the end of this season I believe.

Yep, and the Aug 2025 thing.
I live near Sarasota, FL, and I take my wife to one game a year, which is typically a weak non-conference game.

It's SO MUCH easier to get excellent seats at an affordable price, stress level is low because we typically put these games to bed early, I get to head to a Classic City bar to catch other games, and my wife is just as enthusiastic about the environment/atmosphere/etc. as the game anyway. Hotels are typically available in Athens during these games, albeit still pretty expensive, but worth it to park the car and hoof it the whole weekend.

We used to come back for 2-3 games, but no more. Insanely expensive, travel is a hassle, and the home or sports bar environment is hard to beat at a fraction of the cost.

I think future stadiums will be a smaller footprint, more luxurious, and equipped with modern technology such as functional Wi-Fi and screens on seats. I wouldn't be in favor of this, but those screens would be monetized with ad content, and potentially gambling opportunities given age verification technology is implemented.

That said, we probably invest $3K/year.
