I can’t imagine that anyone has more empathy for Tedd’s family and less for the victim’s family. I certainly don’t.

I have not glorified him on his FB page. I’m not going to his funeral. However, I do know his mother (birth mother died a long time ago, but the mother who raised him is still alive) and she and his siblings are amazing Christian people.

I feel like a lot of people missed my point. The two families and all children involved are the ones who need prayer. Tedd’s family didn’t kill anyone and they’re grappling with the impact this will have on his children.

God will judge Tedd.

And yes, the victim’s family and children - I honestly can’t imagine their pain. I’d be the first one to sign up to do something, anything to help them. It’ll be a long road to recovery - if recovery is ever really possible.
What is so hard to understand?

He was a person with family and friends who loved him.

His family is strong in their faith and deeply religious. He grew up in a loving environment with amazing God-fearing parents and great friends. He made a handful of bad decisions over the past few years that changed the trajectory of his life and ultimately led to his death and the death of another person. He will be judged by God for that.

But that doesn't mean that he wasn't loved by his family and children. For more years than not, he WAS a great person and that is why "people are glorifying him". I think it is less glorifying him and more just trying to remember the good times.

Remember that every person (no matter the severity of the crime) has a momma - and in this case, she is as precious as they come.

I'll pray for both families. Both are hurting. And the children are suffering the most.
