East Texas is the southeast. wtf are you talking about Billy?
I was kinda neutral on Mizzou until they did us dirty 2-3 times in a row.

1. They contacted and portaled a good WR off of our team. Theo Wease.
2. They contacted and portaled a good OL off our team. Caden Green.
3. They outbid us for a 5* pass rusher that we were drooling for.

Other than that they aiight.
Georgia
Ole Miss
Oklahoma
Alabama
Aggies
Missouri

and the rest, here on gilligan's iiiiiiisle.

Uhh, one of the top QB's in the nation having hand surgery on his throwing hand and losing the next 2 games is just silly to even talk about then. Gotcha. No different than a freshman QB getting more experience during the season? Riiiight.

Yall posted about that dumbass hand surgeon for two weeks about he’s a miracle worker and Mateer and BV said he was fine and ready to play, yet a month later use it as an excuse.

Just last week ahead of the Tennessee game, Mateer was shaking hands with a fan who inadvertently bent that thumb backward and he visibly grimaced. It was on the pre-game show just before kickoff.

That hand still isn't 100%. Both of our losses happened right after the surgery. Think whatever you want.

...but what if Oklahoma doesn't win out? Asking for a friend....

That isn't the topic of this conversation. Valid question, but we're talking about the ranking that will come out this week.

That being said, why would the committee just bump OU 1 spot after beating #4 Bama on the road? I can't see that happening.
Shoot, not that long ago there was a guy from Baylor, sent in by Art Briles, that snuck his behind onto our sideline to steal signals before we played them. Later on, we hired him.

He's now the head coach at Miss State.

who cares

OU is third in sec rushing in the last 3 weeks. I’d say he’s figured it out.

That's in spite of him, not because of him. Arbuckle isn't patient enough. I think Brent finally had a word with him.
I watched your full game last week.

Things that concern me: Your QB and WR's against our secondary. Specifically, our safeties. We have guys playing safety that can easily get out of position and make the wrong reads.

Our OC. He's very pass-happy like a younger version of Lincoln Riley, but even more so. He doesn't realize yet that we can run the ball and that it actually helps his offense.

Possible areas to attack for us: I'd like to see us run the ball like there's no tomorrow. Just keep pounding it until results start to happen. If we can get some balanced drives going, this will be a great game.

Ultimately it doesn’t matter where we are ranked at this point. A first round by would be nice

You may not want the layover. None of the 4 bye teams won last year.

It's cute how you Mizzou girls pay more attention to other teams than your own.
I got to eat a meal prepared by one of the Haydel sons at their duck camp. Eli was right there in the living room and ate with us. Them people from Louisiana can cook.
I agree they look solid as a rock and as good as anyone. I had a feeling Elko was going to do this, and sure enough, he has.
Oklahoma beat Oklahoma twice this year. We should be 8-0. If twern't for that, we'd be eyeing the SEC Championship game right now.

re: Texas/ OU Illusions?

Glad to be here. Illusions? Nah. We were recovering from L. Riley and rebuilding as it was. Still in progress.

Texas did better than I thought they would, but had a setback in year 2 with a green QB.

It's all good. Both of us will probably be pretty competitive most years.
Not lookin for a pat on the back, but let me just say this.

The thought of Ole Miss and their fans on our turf, in our stadium, brings a smile to my face. Their history, their whole aura. Something special right there. To be in the SEC with this team, sharing a field and battling it out, well, I'm all in. I'm proud and elated to be in this conference.

Welcome to town.
I played guitar in the 80's with a guy that became Martina McBride's lead guitarist. And I played guitar with a drummer that was signed by The Dixie Chicks when they were about to launch their Wide Open Spaces tour.

Steve Gaines was from Miami, Oklahoma. As was his sister, Cassie, a backup singer in the band. They were both killed in the plane crash.

Oklahoma is gross...literally every other SEC state has at least SOMETHING to draw other people in for a visit. Even for the MO haters, I know some of ya'll tokers out there pay a visit just for the legal weed.

Like this maybe. We get repeat tourists from our brothers and sisters in Louisiana and Texas year-round.
