Thanks man it means a lot. I don't usually share that part of my life, but even if one person struggling with an addiction or just life in general happens to read my posts, they can see that it does get better and that there are people who are more than willing to help. I've lost 3 very close people already this year because of overdose. It's really sad man and I'm very lucky and blessed to be here today.

Thank you. It took a lot of work to get to where I am today. With addiction though, when you quit working and maintaining your sobriety, it can change really quick. That's why I sponsor a few guys and take them through the Alcoholics Anonymous book and just try and help them see that there's a better life out there if they want it.

Mainly Roxie's(oxycodon) then the last year or so that I was using I got hooked on meth, and that took me downhill pretty quick to my rock bottom and I begged my pops to take me to a treatment center cause I just couldn't do it anymore. I checked in weighing 118. My normal weight is 155-160. I had got 4 felony burglary charges when I was 16, but I completed 2 years of pre-trial intervention, which is pretty much probation and paying restitution, so they were expunged.
Was the worst years of my life and did countless things I regret and wish I could change. But being sober now, I can help other people going through the same things and show them that they don't have to live like that anymore.

Lmao that pic was taken when I was probably in 8th grade or freshman in high school. Whenever the song "popping my collar" came out. That was the cool thing to do then. Crazy to look back at that and what a diff 5 years makes. Idk what that is. I rarely post much on here, and like I said, my main point of posting about this, was to say that she isn't the "bad" person people that's never even met her make her out to be. I sure as hell wouldn't wanna be labeled and judged for the person I was the few years before I got sober. Because I worked my arse off to get to where I am these past 2 years and I'm a completely diff person than I was then.
I completely forgot about it until it was mentioned. If you saw, it hasn't been used in over 5 years when I was 17-18 lol So yea looking at that now, it's pretty embarrassing as I was just starting to get pretty hard into my addiction around that time. If you'd like to see my actual twitter it's areis94 lol
I'm not a counselor or a dr. and really only one thing I said was from an actual "group" the rest was just sitting around outside talkin. The point of my first post was I've seen a lot of people sayin she's a shitty person and all that, but from getting to actually know her unlike most of the people sayin the stuff about her, she was a really good person and I don't think a mistake should define you as a person.

Yea that's not my twitter... lol but yea I spent 10 months there including their sober living. I made 2 years sober April 18
I agree with you 100% I never personally asked her exactly what happened. They have 2 phases there, so after your first 30 days, you go out and get a job and don't have to go to the all day groups. So I was halfway through my first 30, so I only got the little bits she said in those 2 weeks.
She said she was just bored with the coming home and doing the housewife/mom thing and needed something to I guess give her a rush or something. Which I mean that's the same basic concept of any addiction.

What do you mean? I just started posting here in Jan.
Yea I mean in our daily "groups" it was all about drug and alcohol recovery, since that's what everyone else was there for. So she just kinda had to just replace that with sex and I'm sure she did her own treatment with her assigned counselor.
Unfortunately not lol I'm sure it went thru every guy that was there mind tho. For it bein such a nice facility, we had a good bit of very good looking girls there. It was about 12-15 guys to 9-12 girls depending on people coming and going.
I mean she did also drink, which I'm sure didn't help with anything. But I mean she was by no means an alcoholic. But I mean you can pretty much use the same program for drugs/alcohol for sex or any other addiction.

Too bad they're fake tho :/
If you go back and read the article of when she plead guilty and put on 3 years probation, one of the stipulations was that she had to go to a "mental health facility" and technically addiction is a mental illness. Also the facility (Addiction Recovery Resources) is one of the nicer facilities in the state. They have 2 sets of 4 townhouses and you have either 2 or 3 roommates and it was really nice. Instead of keeping you locked up in a building like most facilities, I mean they took up to walmart once a week, so we got our own food and we left the facility to go to Lafreniere park and AA meetings every night. The dr. there is the top addiction specialist in the country. That place saved my life man. Thank you for that, it's been tough, but has been the best 2 years of my life.
The first assignment we had to do was what led up to you getting there. So she kinda explained some of what went into it. I do remember her first day she got there, my roommate was the only one that recognized her and pulled up the article on the computer in the lounge and showed everybody. So u can say he got into some trouble for that and she deff wasn't too happy. Like I said tho, she's a really awesome, down to earth person. Everybody has their own vices tho.

That's deff a possibility. I think she was trying to get into the dental hygienist program or something like that.
Around this time 2 years ago, per her probation, she was sent to the same treatment center in Metairie that I was at (I just made 2 years sober 9 days ago) So I was there the whole 60 days that she was. She's a really awesome, down to earth person. While she was there her husband and kids did come to our "family group" every Monday night and visited every weekend. After we had both completed the program, we both went to an outpatient group on Thursday and the last I heard, she was in college, but don't remember exactly what for.
Idk which one you're looking to work at, but the one I worked at was the busiest Cane's in the New Orleans area. Even being so busy, it was never really too difficult or stressful besides the sundays when the Saints played and I had to open and it was just me and 2 other kitchen guys having to have between 500-1000 fingers for tailgates ready by the time we opened at 9. Also depends on which job you do. You're first 5 days if you're in the kitchen, you'll train for each different job and after that, you'll just kinda go where they need you that day.
I worked in the kitchen at the one in Metairie when I lived there for about a year. The people were awesome and we joked around and had fun while we worked. The actual work is fairly simple and I enjoyed my time working there.
