re: Venice Speck Fishing - General Areas

Thanks, I've rented a houseboat at Cypress Cove so that it my just be easier to head out from there but I'll check out the those options. Mainly curious about where most people go this time of year - East/West side or both? I've always done well fishing the beaches in the Grand Isle area when it's calm enough to do so, but I may check out some of the bays as well.
Venice Speck Fishing - General Areas
Posted by progresschrome on 6/13/22 at 9:35 am
I've got a 2 day trip planned this Thursday and Friday and I'm hoping to get on the specs. I've done plenty of fishing out of Hopedale and Grand Isle but I've never been to Venice. Hoping to get some help with general areas that might be good to fish. My current plan is to launch out of Cypress Cove Marina and head West to fish some of the beach of the barrier islands - like Scofield beach. Any other areas that might be good this time of year? Also any tips on water hazards would be helpful.
