He is not. He leads the Bayou Bengals Booster Club and we are the Jackson chapter of the LSU Alumni Association. And you are right...we sure do! Hoping to get more and more of us together.

Tiger fans in the Jackson, MS area...please join us for our 16th Annual Crawfish Boil! We will kick off things around 11:30 a.m. at Capitol Grill in Jackson. We'll also have our Silent Auction with all proceeds benefitting our LSU Jackson Scholarship given to an incoming freshman from the Jackson area. Friends, family and kids welcome!

A few more items of interest:
-Happy hour specials will be running all day for our group! That’s $1 off draft/bottles and half price shots, wells and calls.
-We will also have a specialty cocktail available named “Eye of the Tiger”
-Bidding for silent auction items will end at 2:30 p.m.
-The national LSU Alumni Association will be on hand with a “pop up shop” enabling you to purchase merchandise and memorabilia!

I’m glad you brought this up and am happy to clarify! That is not our group. A few years ago, the Alumni Association and TAF began efforts to consolidate the two groups, so to speak, by creating a joint membership type program as they recognized the confusion people had between the two groups. However, there are still a few TAF chapters and I believe their group is one of them. My understanding is that Bill Hulsey is no longer their president. I have reached out to their new president and hopefully we can meet to clear some things up.

Also, to clarify...you do not have to be an alumnus or member of the group to join and/or attend our events. We of course encourage everyone to take part in the joint membership and join as your $50 annual fee ($35 to the national association and $15 to our local group) comes with a lot of benefits and incentives...but all are welcome. We recognize there has been some confusion between the two groups in Jackson, and I hope this solves it. Happy to answer any other questions people may have regarding our group and its efforts!

We will be hosting view-ins at our usual venue, Capitol Grill, for the Miami, Auburn, Florida and Arkansas games and hope to soon have more events planned for the fall.

Quick update: Capitol Grill will be running some Saturday specials from at least 3:00-7:00 which includes $3.50 on most mixed drinks, $1 off all beer & $12.50 for a bucket of beer. As usual, their full menu will be available.

If you have your membership card, please bring it with you so we can be sure to use the new LSUAA app to scan it in and confirm your info.

Awesome! Yes, please find us on FB. We are working on updating our website (lsujackson.org) with all of this Fall's events, so FB is the best place to look for info on view-ins, socials, etc.

We have been working to get more Tiger fans together in the area and out to events, so please spread the word and feel free to bring others with you!

:lol: Indeed. But, be careful. In the past, the other local group looked down upon our group for allowing our guests/members (grown adults 21+) to have the option to purchase an alcoholic beverage.
