Overall, I think this is a great program but ftr I know of several people in the most recent graduating MME class who struggled/are still struggling to find jobs. I just graduated from one of the business masters program at Tulane and I do agree it’s what you put in to it. Hustle from the beginning and network with as many recruiters, alumni, and professors as possible. Tulane gives you plenty of opportunity but you have to go out and get it.

Edited to add:
Tulane is not cheap, so utilize every resource they have.

1/2 Louisiana fish fry & 1/2 Louisiana shrimp fry
Threaten to send him to a trainer for 3 months. She will learn just as quickly as he will.

I will look into this further.
Funny how that works. I actually plan on hunting a little further west than the Pearl WMA but I figured it's best to be less specific on a public forum...

Thanks, Wick. I will look into the aforementioned group on Facebook. I'll be hunting around the Pearl mostly.

Yeah, that was the route I intended on taking.

Woodcock Hunting (paging Wick)

I am new to woodcock hunting, actually all upland bird hunting. I have a 9-month-old Llewellin Setter from White Rock Kennels in Waco, TX and this will be his first year hunting. I'm located in New Orleans and will mostly hunt within an hour or hour and a half from here (public land). If anyone could give me some general information (ie. places to go, where to park around the WMAs, what type of areas to look for, shell sizes etc.) My dog is currently with Ricky at Southern Tide Kennels doing basic obedience and learning basic gun dog skills (I highly recommend Ricky if you are in this area). The plan is to hunt him this first year and then decide if I'd like to send him to a place that focuses on bird dogs. Thanks in advance, I'll gladly return the favor.
Southwest has issued a waiver for flights into New Orleans between today and Thursday.
Please keep this thread updated. Flying Southwest from SAN on Wednesday landing at MSY at 7:05pm. If a waiver is issued, should we plan to fly back Friday or Saturday?

re: Anybody want to talk fishing?

It definitely depends on the type of fishing you are wanting to do/try. I fish pretty much every weekend year-round (weather permitting). I primarily fish saltwater in SELA. Over the last year I have gotten away from fishing live bait and fish artificial exclusively. Types of baits depend on the time of year/where I am fishing.

For instance, in the summer I predominantly target slot redfish on a fly rod (sight fishing). Crab flies, small shrimp or bait fish patterns. Poppers when targeting jacks.

When fall fishing I really enjoy the speck transition from outside to the inside. I tend to fish 3-5ft of water with double rigged matrix under a cork. Or topwater plugs.

Winter fishing I am usually throwing 1/4, 3/8 or 1/2 oz jig heads with Matrix Shad for specs. Weight depends on water temp as the fish tend to be deeper as it gets colder (not so much the case this year). We also start fishing big bulls on the fly rod at this time. Generally anything with lead eyes that can sink quickly.

I don't spend too much time worrying about rod and reels. But right now I'm using curados and falcon rods. (Academy is generous with their return policy if I break anything).

I also enjoy throwing suspended crank baits or topwater plugs when I feel the conditions suit them. It's all preference in my opinion but those are just some of the things that tend to work for me.

For websites or information, I generally believe that going and trying different areas and techniques is ultimately what makes you a better fisherman. I understand not everyone has the capabilities to fish as often as I do but having a good friend who does fish more than you always seems to help.
Ran into them briefly Sunday in the neighborhood, Mrs. Yenni seemed hesitant before I said hello but they seemed fairly content. Just heading to the gym with the body guard per usual. I'd have more respect for the guy if he just admitted what he did was wrong and resigned, instead of giving us this "won't affect my job in governing" shite. But what do you expect from Politicians? They have the same moral compass as most celebs do.
Yeah I went through and didn't see anything. I've narrowed it down to Three Forks, a camping area where 3 trout rivers converge. Relatively close to the Appalachian Trail. Should be an awesome trip. I've seen a bunch of your pictures from NY. My brother lives outside of Summit, NJ. They make a few suicide runs upstate NY to catch big browns and steelheads. Hopefully I'll make it up there soon.
Looking to make a DIY trip to North Georgia (Blue Ridge area) in late October. I've never done any trout fishing mainly redfish and various other species that call our SELA marshes home. If any of y'all could help make my trip planning a little easier it'd be much appreciated. Trying to decide between the Toccoa River and Noontootla Creek. It'll be the GF and I camping/fly fishing for a few days.

P.s. Here are some pics to help you get through Tuesday.

He wasn't killed. It was a planned shot. Hence the, Elliot needs to see me first when he wakes up quote at the end.
Yeah, I feel like we still need another episode to resolve this episode. Which is how the show has always been.
Elliot is obviously not in control and everyone else knew that. So they planned accordingly.
I'm in Kenner as well. I have a 17ft flat boat. Need people to ride with me. Let me know if yall need help.
It's gusting in the 35-40mph range in the Metairie/Kenner area.
