re: What are some good restaurants in downtown Nashville for dinner ?

Go just a little out of town to Loveless Cafe. You might need to make reservations. It is not fancy, but it is real good and stays real crowded.
I would gladly go back to the conference days when the 4 big bowls on New Year's Day was the goal. NO playoff.
I predict lots of close games between a lot of near equal teams. different strengths and weakness will make it hard to compare. Hopefully, all make noise in the tournament.
I also predict many Hog and Wildcat fans will focus so much on each other they may not realize who else is good.

This is all like a balloon, expanding until one day it will pop.
I am looking forward to the day where teams will be like the first ones. Students are accepted to a school, then can try out for the school team. Play semi-near schools in a region. No TV, go to the games if you want to see it.
Let the teams we have now be the minor league pro teams they appear to wan to be.

Besides, that is not even what the rumor is that is going around.
The rumor is that Jerry said he would double what the recruits were going to get to go to Kentucky if they followed Cal on to Arkansas. It never said he was going to double the 5 million rumor of a bank account.
Lord.

I had no idea that the Electric Light Orchestra did rankings. Cool!
The "ran it up" game.
Was that the game after the Hogs player died? I can't remember. That team was shell shocked and broken on that day. They played with emotion that ran out in a quarter as those things usually do. Running up a score on a team that was that hurt was not too much to brag about.

My prediction is that somehow they find a way for the shotgun marriage to work to certain extent for a season. If Petrino is allowed control, he will pull some offensive miracles out of his heinie and make it look good
Thr problem is when he gets the credit and JImbo cannot live with it. Then the power struggle starts and the claim of "no, I was responsible for this" starts coming from both of them. They are both people with big egos that need to be appeased.
Temporarily, it may work. But A and M better hope they strike quickly. There is no big build between the two of them coming.

Nah, I love sports.
It is supposed to teach teamwork, develop a trust in others, bring out the best in yourself in a spirit of comepetition. Or at least that is what they sold me as a boy.
I just hate that this apparently Reese's best.

Maybe in a way.
I am angry that that is what we expect in sports now. I was watching stuff on ESPN classic and watched ARkansas and Alabama in a Sugar Bowl. Kock people on their butt, reach out a hand to help them up, then go at it again the next play.
I miss those days.

AFter watching Angel Reese, I hope she never wins anything else in her life.
I wasn't "for" either team, just wanted to watch a championship gaeme. Then that total lack of class ruined anything about sportsmanship in the game. should have got the T when she told the ref an early foul on her was bullshite and should have with the taunting,.
You won, be happy don't be a bitch.

When I was a kid playing, you wanted whoever beat you to win it all. Kind of a "Yeah, they were the best team and we just played them before you did" thing.
So, Arkansas fans should want UConn to win for that reason. But, I do like the idea of a never has won team getting it as long as it isn't Texas.

I would agree. Auburn needs more consistent guard play. A pass first PG and a couple of outside shooters with shot selection skills would improve the reliability of the team and give them a better chance for post season success.

After injury took a long time to heal. He looked tentative when he got moments and compounded that by trying to do too much too quickly to show he belonged out there. Led to mental mistakes and he wound up in the bench mob.
Strange after he was the one last year who looked to be the freshman to have a breakout season before he was injured.

Comparing Celtics from the 60s to NBA champs today? About the same deal.
When Nolan built his teams, there was no portal, no NIL...totally different way to do things. You built it up year by year by adding pieces. Nowadays you can add a whole new team in one off season. Look at Auburn for proof.

Duke does not have what it takes to win 6 in a row, but if they are in any way close whoever they play better be able to take it out of the realms of doubt. Storybook ending would be in play if at all possible to manufacture.

Honest answer, which is rare on this board, is that LSU has a load of talent and can play with anyone and beat almost anyone on a given day.
Arkansas is a good team, but fortunate to win both games. Teams make their own fortune so it is not meant to be an excuse or anything. I think our Razorback team is really good defensively, but needs good offensive days to make a run.
There are about 6 or 7 teams this year in our conference that can beat any team in the league. It is one of those years where many teams can say "We can beat any team on our schedule, but any team on our schedule can beat us, too".
A third game on a neutral court could go either way. I would not be surprised if LSU wins. I would not be surprised if Arkansas wins.

I think 5 teams could make runs. The 4 with the byes in the SEC tournament and LSU. Their talent says they can, and they are playing well at the moment. No offense, just stating opinion, but I think game coaching is what will keep them from going too far. Sweet 16 is certainly possible, though.
Bama just does not seem to be able to ride a streak this year despite talent.

If we had hit a lick in the first half we could be having a game that would provide a lot of arguing the net few days. Tennessee still pulls this one out, but the Hogs show it could have been a dogfight.
Yeah, I only see it being in play is if the 2 teams are so close, like the 4th and 5th seeded teams that they can just be flip flopped with winner taking the higher seed.

AND...
He hit a layup with 8:51 seconds to go to reach 30 points. He did not make any of the 23 points scored by Arkansas after that point.
Amazing that you score 30 in basically 3 quarters, then only have assists in the 4th quarter while not due to fouling out.
