re: Denver restaurants and breweries

Brewery-wise, definitely grab something from TRVE while you're in town. I think they're to-go only right now, but they do some killer sours. Also, I like Ratio and Our Mutual Friend in the Rino area.
Be sure to try beer from Weldwerks and Outer Range while you're up here. They're both a ways out of town (Greeley and Frisco), but they make probably the best IPA's in the state.
Food wise, Sushi Den is easily the best sushi in town but it's a little pricey.
Adelita's is directly next door to Black Project and is really good. A few other restaurants that I can suggest are Angelo's, The Odyssey, Tacos Tequila Whiskey, Cochino Taco, Ash'Kara, Mister Oso, Hops & Pie, Park Burger, and OneFold.

Phenomenal news! Ten Fidy, G'Knight, and Old Chub are some of my favorites. And Momma's Yella Pils is hilarious and perfect for the summer.

This was my favorite taco joint in the city. I was always worried about the location. It's a frickin' graveyard for small businesses.

If you cook them long enough to get the thickness, the beans become unrecognizable, just like Blue Runner out of the can. I've gotten good results by cooking the beans just until tender then puréeing a cup of them and adding it back in.
I just mash some on the side of the pot. I do like my red beans thick.
Mine is grilling meet. I don't do it often, but I can't get the temperature right for the life of me.
re: Food Board Beer Snobs: How many beers do you drink per week?
Posted by Scoobie205 on 3/23/15 at 10:39 am to bbrou33
1-2 a night during the week. Weekend is a total wildcard. Sometimes I'll only drink liquor, sometimes I'll drink 12 beers.
I run 15-20 miles a week between jogging and ultimate + weights 3 days a week.

OB Ten Fidy. Can bump up the abv more if you add a shot of bourbon, which is sometimes necessary on a cold winter night.

Michelin has never been in Nola since I've been alive because there is not enough restaurants of the caliber of food/decor/service/wine:basically everything under the sun to merit the honors
I find that really interesting, considering the rich culinary history of the city.
