The Ruger commander 1911 typically sales for $725 plus tax when we have it in stock or available on a credit card purchase, the cash price would be $699 plus tax. We typically don't carry CZ pistols in stock, but can order them. The Rami 9mm would typically run around $575. I will have to look around and see which distributor has both of these guns in stock to order in..
I will keep my eye open for a Nylon 66. We have had 3 run through the shop in the past two years. I have seen a Mohawk and a standard.
The Colt 70 series are currently only about $50 off on sale and the Delta Elite's are currently out of stock, but I do run across them on a regular basis at a pretty good price.. Call me tomorrow and we can discuss pricing and I will get your contact info to call to see if you still want one when the Delta Elites' are produced again on the next production run.. 225-634-3444

We currently have 1 stainless XSE Colt 1911, 1 blued XSE Colt 1911, 4 stainless government 1991 models, and tomorrow have 2 blued Commander models, and 2 stainless Commander models coming..
I'm a bargain shopper and one of my distributors had Colt 1911's at $200 to $300 off normal price.. I can't advertise the price because it's below MAP (minimum advertised price) guide lines.. It's a smoking deal..6 in stock, 4 coming tomorrow.

I currently have several Colt 1911's below normal cost..
The best answer is come into the store, see how each gun fits into your hand, and which one fits you the best. Everyone is different.. There is no one answer for everyone..
It's also dependent on the shooter. Some people aren't ready for the recoil of a 1911 and could put more power down range with a Glock.. But proficient shooters can handle a 1911 and put the power of a 45 down range very effectively.. The Glock 21 45acp is just too big for my hand comfortably.. I would rather have the capacity of a 9mm with good hollow points and put about 450 pounds of muzzle energy down range faster than fewer rounds of 45acp with 600 pounds of muzzle energy.

Both are great self defense guns and will both work when life and limb are at stake... But if I have to wear it everyday.. I carry a Glock 19 9mm, with that said, I own 3 1911's and they are all dependable. The glock just weighs less and is more comfortable on a daily basis.

If it's a gun to carry, Glock.. a lot lighter and high capacity. If it's a gun to go target practice and enjoy shooting.. 1911..

The reason that I posted on this even though it's 8 months old is that How people are treated in my store is IMPORTANT to me. I want everyone to have a great experience here. I didn't open this store to be just another gun store. One dissatisfied customer is one too many. It's not a money thing, it's a matter of personal pride in my shop, my name, and it's just what is right. I will always try my best to do the right thing.

Most of my friends are cops.. Mostly State Troopers.. Several of us have type 1 personalities, but I understand where he is coming from.. I demand customer service when I go in a place of business and I strive to help everyone, but I am only one person and can only do so much.

I'm still here.. and Feliciana Tigerfan, I do want your business.. My name is Tony.. Come in, talk to me and I will earn your business every time.. I am truly sorry that you didn't like your experience in my store.. This Store is my baby that I built ground up from a $20k investment to what it is today.. I work every day except Sunday, work around people's schedule and am a true gun guy and consumer at heart.. I'm not a big business guy trying to get rich.. I just like seeing everyone get the guns they want at a reasonable price, but somewhere in the middle I have to make a living.. Not a killing, but a living.

I saw this old post, and I am the Owner of Thompson Creek Sporting Goods.. It's funny.. Only two of us work at the store. I'm not a highly trained special ops guy, but I am nice guy that will help anyone who comes into my store.. DCI worker, Plant worker, LE official..etc.. My purpose is to help anyone who walk through my door. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your visit to my store. I don't expect to make everyone happy, but that's why there are other stores. With that said, I am happy with my store, the pricing we offer, the personal service we offer, and our great customers that are more like friends than just customers.. 99% of everyone that will take the time to come see me and talk to me will realize why we do the amount of business that we do..
