Mine will arrive tomorrow. Kodi will be installed promptly and DirecTV will be fired in short order. :dude:
I upgraded my 17" 2009 MBP a couple years back and it still runs better than new. It really is unreal what a difference an SSD makes.

Sign me up and DirectTV can kiss my :moon:
I've lurked....a lot
.dmg is the file extension for a disk image file. When you download Firefox, it's delivered as a .dmg file. You simply double-click on the file to open it and you'll see a disk icon appear on your desktop along with a window that opens containing the Firefox application and an alias to your applications folder. You're supposed to drag the application and drop it on top of the applications folder icon to install Firefox. However, if you click on the Firefox app instead of dragging/dropping it onto the applications folder icon, it will launch as if it's installed. If you restart your computer, it will "eject" the disk image and firefox will not be installed.
I'm guessing that's what's going on here.

Are you sure they're installed, and not running from the .DMG?
This. I've seen it a lot and, in my opinion, it's the only plausible explanation.
