We can't win a national championship with JefferJennings, plain and simple. Unfortunately, winning national championships doesn't seem to be a very big concern for Miles.
Our offense is embarrassing.
Thanks for anchoring this thread mods. Sorry you feel so threatened by me.

LSU could stand to lose a few fans like you.

See, I don't think they can. Where else are they going to get the money to function and pay coaches huge, undeserved salaries?

Well you better be thankful you're an LSU fan, because I'm pretty sure you would've killed yourself as an Arkansas fan.

Arkansas doesn't have a fraction of the in-state talent we have, sorry pal.

It's hilarious that people don't realize where Miles' success comes from. It wasn't Saban. It was modernized NCAA compliance greatly reducing the poaching of local talent. He's sitting on a gold mine and can't do anything with it.

To be a fan of a sports team is to consent to being in a kind of dictatorship. But unlike most dictatorships, you do have the option to not participate. You also have the option to not stake your happiness on said sports team.

Dictators can be overthrown, and I did not say I stake my happiness on this team.

I do stake my money in it though, and if there are structural problems preventing its success, I'm going to remove my support in hopes that the dictator goes down with it.

OMG we lost 3 games!!!!

For the third straight year.

And the year before that, we were laughed out of the BCS National Championship game.

And the year before that, we lost to Arkansas and Auburn.

And the year before that, we had four losses.

And the year before that, we had five losses.

What has Miles done to show that he's a coach capable of winning national titles with his own players? Nothing. He either needs to change his ways, or we need to change the person filling his position. Either way, we need change.
Here is the bottom line. The LSU football program cannot exist without support from fans.

Whether you think the head coach, specific players, or officiating is largely to blame for our third straight season of 3+ losses, it's time to start thinking about holding the program accountable.

But if you are a fan like the one below, who refuses to hold the program accountable for repeat failures, then look no further than the mirror.

quote:

I'm not blaming Anthony Jennings, the coaching staff, the personal foul penalty, etc.

After 2011, I was very tempted to cancel my season tickets in Section 100, which have been in my family for 15 years now, but I was talked off the ledge by a friend, who reminded me of how good it would feel to give them to my young son one day.

However, after seeing the Jordan Jefferson situation play out once again with Anthony Jennings, I have decided that I will be calling TAF during business hours tomorrow to make it known that I won't plan on renewing until there is either a new head coach, or our current one demonstrates that he is capable of properly developing AND utilizing QB's that he recruits. To me, the problem always seems to be one, the other, or both.

Maybe your reasons aren't the same as mine. Maybe you think LSU needs to make a bold call for better officiating in the SEC. If that's the case, then you better start demanding it, and withholding your dollars until it is done.

And if you don't have season tickets to give back to TAF, then maybe it's just not buying that new LSU gear, or going to whatever crappy bowl game we get into.

Whatever your issue is, and whatever your means are, if you aren't taking action to make your voice known to the powers that be, look no further than the mirror for the primary reason we have entered this new era of mediocrity.

Once the program addresses the structural issues causing this, we can return spending money that benefits the program. In my case, I can always get new season tickets to give to my son. The nostalgia of having the same exact two seats in my possession for the next 20 years won't be worth it if we aren't properly utilizing the talent we have.

At this point, I'm not blaming Anthony Jennings, the coaching staff, the personal foul penalty, etc

If the fans don't want to demand change, then they are the problem.
October 19, 2013. It's been completely downhill since we to Ole Miss last season.
This was our third loss, actually.

Has it ever happened?

For comparison, Jordan Jefferson was a career 58.6% passer. (LINK)
But... but... but... He "wasn't ready." He must be struggling in practice. By not playing him, Les Miles told me so. He also had a bad half once.

Oh, wait, this thread isn't about Brandon Harris. Dang.

Will probably graduate with one catch for 11 yards. Shame.
I feel bad for Quantavius Leslie. He's going to leave LSU with one catch for 11 yards to his name.

3 catches the last 6 games.

Zero in the last three. :wtf:

When it's a controversial topic, and in the context of 25 upvotes it is. Most people who criticize Jennings on this board just blindly troll the issue with stupid, inflammatory generalizations. I provided an objective assessment of his performance with a wide range of statistics, and never said anything about him personally.

I don't think you know what the bolded word means.

Show me where the exact number of Jennings fumbles has been posted before, his average touchdowns per game, or where LSU ranks in punt attempts and I'll remove the word "original" from my OP.
