Taking your ball and going home. So bad at play time.

See, now that is a point. You actually said something with substance instead of meandering about as if its obvious to everyone what you are thinking.
But since those contributions aren't illegal, I'm not exactly sure what part I am supposed to be concerned about. I also don't know who is for/against SG in legal circles, so I don't really want to paint broad strokes as to the motivations of all of the donors. For her or for other judges. Did it bother you that you had the wrong Possa?

Jumping for joy. Who is Janice White?

I was under the assumption you had a point. Completely my misunderstanding.

So you had nothing. Ok then!

Almost forgot, I read those reports and posted on it. Did it not garner a response?

On the other hand, all of the properties were notified and given the requisite amount of time to file the complaint to undo it. And they didn't. I've gathered that most rail companies don't get into local politics.

He does live in BR. Lots of drumming about the plan of government, but not about the actual bit that it was tossed out for.

Well, we both know that hyperbole doesn't help a discussion. I wasn't out to show she is a great judge, I just happened to have some time to read the things Sprocket was too lazy to do. If his actual point was different, I'd like to see it, but I was just going off what I assumed he wanted people to study out.

That is because the negative headlines get more traction and bump up that score.

Well, turns out not being able to sleep really does help you out.
I assume you are associating campaign donations with impropriety. And that this Possa person donating to a campaign = corruption. So, I read some of Clark's reports and noticed that a lot of law firms donated to her. So I went to check Kay Bates's reports just to see if this may be some sort of pattern. Can you believe Possa donated just as much to this other judge? And that her list is dominated by law firms as well? And as luck would have it, its Joseph Possa that donated cash on these forms that I read. In full disclosure, Stephanie Possa did donate an in-kind donation of a band.
I know that campaign disclosure reports can be tricky, and that SG people don't have much experience in...doing them, but please. Learn to read.

I'm certainly not defending her, but asking questions of you to provide evidence towards suppositions and allegations of corruption.
You are all over the place with broad strokes and asking others to look for god knows what. If you have evidence of corruption, show it. I'm not sure what I am supposed to be looking for in reports that you link. The request is stupid. Do it yourself if you want to play.

So you got nothing. Don't go making broad generalizations. I hear that gets you in trouble if you don't have specifics.

Yeah I don't really have to do the leg work for you. How about you jump on that and show me the big nasty.

Wait, wait, I read this thing earlier that is kind of applicable.
If we replace the bold word with Clark...holy shite.

Youre not making sense. One minute you are speaking of Woody Jenkins' motivation, the next you are making broad SG generalizations. If you want to debate something you'll need to be more specific.

we knew all along how Clark would rule.
How did we know that? I'm curious. I was unaware that it was a foregone conclusion other than Jenkins's flimsy argument.

The hearing today was simply Clark/the city challenging his right to bring the suit, it didn't get into the merits of the suit itself.
Right. He might have wanted to make the hearing about that then. Because the hearing was to determine his standing, which does explore his motivations for bringing the suit. Goes back to that bit about a real stake in it. Which he did not make clear. He tried, but that police chief kind of explained that he was wrong. Or so I've gathered. The annexation doesn't actually harm him, according the courts at this point and he couldn't make his case that it does.

Jenkins motivation for the suit can be explained by his support for SG, or possibly just because he saw the sheisty shite that went down with the annexation of MOLA and Kip and it made him mad.
Oh. Well those aren't the things he said in court today. And none of that would've worked either.
When I say $$, I thought it was implied that he was working towards the support of SG in order to keep the MOLA in the SG proposed limits. My bad if I was unclear.
quote:
Jenkins motivation for supporting SG can be explained by my previous post on the subject of schools, his previous support for the ISD, and his disdain for Taylor. He may also support SG because he wants to profit from another newspaper, but that doesn't have anything to do with a MOLA annexation lawsuit
Ok then. Good insight.

I guess asking for clarification as to what you were saying is the same as dancing around a subject. I stated why his suit was dismissed and mused about how his statements are misleading when compared to his actions. You generally pick one thing to quote and ramble incoherently. Or so I've seen thus far.
I wasn't particularly debating, but we can if you like. I read what you had posted in response and gathered that we were in agreement that motivation is more money based than say, anything else. If that is incorrect, let me know.

So we agree its about $$ and not principle?
So...yeah. I'm having trouble following whatever you are trying to say.
