Oh yeah I see Jacob Bronowski,
"Pitt ranked 25th in the Power Four in terms of special teams efficiency, per ESPN’s College Football Power Index. In 2024, the Panthers were 38th overall in special teams efficiency."

Not bad imo, plus he's been Golesh's TE guy a couple years

ST coach ranked twice as bad as we were
But, I’m having a real hard time believing Auburn was 41st in ST this year.

Special teams wasn't hired yet for Golesh afaik. Also are you kidding me, Auburn was 88 on punts, and 54th on field goals
What's official so far, I can dig it. OL coach and Run game coordinator, makes sense for those guys to be in close relationship
Press release with details about these folks

To hell with USF, this piss poor copy of tiger walk, with this lame announcement with the CEO of USF athletics shitting on his 9-3 team he inherited, I am willing to bet Golesh didn't want anything to do with the CEO of athletics. Also F them for slipping in the Auburn upset in 2007 here in the press conference.

I get what you're saying, but as a press person I'm sure they love it, they are getting the full answer to their questions
Golesh said today that he sat down with John Cohen to try to make it happen, but that with the staff turnover, athletes going home after finals, and not quite having all the staff together that it was too unrealistic to go for with the aim to win. Honestly I think that's a good way to frame his response

Yeah he's saying ultimately he wants the elite of high school that fits what he wants from his players, develop those guys, and supplement through the portal. 250 m radius for most, and maybe national for some spots you can't find locally

Won't Back Down by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers ? 1989
Florida plays this over the loudspeaker as some kind of anthem these days
We were in the 30s before signing day, it felt like those guys quit working after Freeze left

At least we didn't get slogan guy
Well dude what do you expect him to do, hire people he doesn't know at all?
Good leaders surround themselves with people that will call them on their BS, I imagine most of those guys from USF did

We didn't have a RB rotation all game either with a busted up RB when he did get it the other guy had the ball moving. In hindsight I'm mildly glad he didn't make it in because we could've had Durkin turned to HC
I learned something new today, I didn't know you can't tackle a QB below the knees while in a throwing posture... Carry on
I feel like he wasn't grasping the system well under freeze, which I can understand, they put him in for a lot of TE sets, and finally seemed to get used at the Vanderbilt game. We all know Cam has a future in the NFL that is marquee we don't want to lose

Cam is being honored today or tomorrow I believe as an SEC legend

I dunno about you, if I were the WR and I knew my QB would be DK, Daniels, or Byrum Brown I'd be pretty okay with it.

I get a wide receiver's reluctance atm. We can't even say who the qb is next year at this point.

Big loss to the team rank, but that doesn't matter, he'd still have to sit a while
