Go vote for JD! It takes 5 seconds, and could push him over the top.

I REALLY hope you weren't talking about the fight that took place inside the stadium. That dude came into our section for reasons beyond me, and started that fight.
That's honestly very good to hear. From my perspective, I turned around to see an older man laying on the ground with a bloody eye and a handful of our students yelling at him. If it was the old guy who started it, then I take back my statement, but it was still awful the way some of our students (females) tried to fight with the cops and got booted from the stadium.

Hahaha looks like I need to learn to delete a post instead of trying to edit it quickly! I'm only a freshman at LSU and typing this from my student work job, so who knew accidently hitting enter would start a whole thread?? Anyway, just wanted to come on and voice yet another opinion.
The State of Tiger Stadium From a Student's Perspective
Posted by tigerstudent7 on 10/16/13 at 10:43 am
Three observations, from a student's perspective.
1) LSU has become a victim of their own success. Administration sees an opportunity to raise prices on everything, parking, tickets, concessions, etc. and they gladly do so. A typical fan cannot afford to buy a ticket at face value and spend the amount of money it takes to come to the game when they could easily watch the game on TV. It's sad, but it's true.
2) Because of the success of LSU, it is almost as if Tiger fans expect a blowout in every game except Alabama and the occasional SEC opponent like Georgia or A&M. I can feel the lack of enthusiasm in the student section every single play. Even on third down, the stadium gets loud, but there's nothing truly deafening or crazy like the "loudest stadium in the nation" should have. I truly believe fans don't see a reason to get loud because we are overly confident and spoiled by the success of the team in recent years. We simply assume we will win handily, and when a touchdown comes there's more of a sigh of relief than enthusiasm.
3) I want to apologize for the behavior of students so far this year. After going to Starkville and witnessing a fight between our students and some of their older fans, I was truly embarassed. Combine that with the F-you Florida/Auburn/whoever chants and STTDB, it's pretty hard to get fired up. Personally I'm so embarassed of these chants and I refuse to yell along with them. The Geaux Tigers chant and other chants that are such classics are done so quickly and rushed that they don't sound good at all any more. I'm ready for the student section to be rocking again and for the entire stadium to follow suit. Enough of the vulgar chants and drunken slurs at the opponent, let's get in their heads with an absolute roar on every down. The only reason I can give for student's leaving early is for the non-SEC games where we have to sit for 2 and a half hours before the game just to get a seat. For Florida, however, there's no excuse. I may be one of the few who gets embarassed by vulgar chants and shows up early for the games, but we aren't all just dumb college kids who don't know better.
