It definitely wouldn't happen. But he would LOVE that.

I got an engagement boat.
That would be more ideal.
Oh no, there will be a wedding band. But it won't be anything of worth other than what us girls like to imagine would be emotional value.
He would rather something that would hold value years down the road and maybe could pass down to future generations, like a fancy watch.
The wedding band will literally be something from the Kohl's rack.

re: Engagement Ring vs. Grooms Gift

Its definitely not to see who can get the most expensive gift, but if he went through all the trouble to pay for an expensive ring that I intend to have forever, shouldn't he have something that would serve the same purpose? Rather than a cheap band that he'll probably lose 4-30 times.
I'm not a male, but my fiancé would rather a nice watch than an over-priced wedding band. Since mens wedding bands are a few hundred bucks, just considering that maybe I should fork out for something comparable...maybe.
Engagement Ring vs. Grooms Gift

Since men's wedding bands are SUPER cheap, should the grooms gift be equal to what was spent on the engagement ring?

I'm looking for some options for late August. Nice boat, carries 8 or more, private, allows you to drink and have a good time, and carry a few fish home.
I'm looking for more Orange Beach area, but don't mind Pensacola and Destin options.
Not looking for a boring trip

I'm really not wanting to buy this specific kit. Just one that's similar that would have some of the same type of tools. I don't care for the marketing and I've never seen The Walking Dead. I could care less. Just looking for a good hunting knife kit.
A gift for a hunter

I'm looking to buy one of these kits, but for $350?? Seems steep! Anyone know if there are other kits out there that are similar and have generally the same set?

There's a lot of people that take it and try to stay up. Your brain goes to sleep, but your body doesn't. If you take it and lay down to go to sleep, you should be okay.
I've had some terrible experiences with an ex that abused it. He thought it was funny to try and stay awake longer than he should and he would pull some really stupid stuff.

Mark Wahlberg is by far one of my least favorite actors. His look of concern in every scene, in every movie, is so far from genuine that its comedic.
As far as Zooey Deschanel, putting her into any sort of serious role was hard to watch. She should stick to her schtick of quirky comedies.
This movie was by far, cringe-worthy. However, I don't trust myself to change the channel the next time I see it on. Its like a car wreck.

This has got to be the worst movie I've ever seen, yet somehow, no matter the fact I've seen it several times, I always continue to watch it. I don't know if there could've been worse actors to star in this 'thriller' and I still have not begun to understand what actually was happening to everyone.
Anyone ever read the book and have some conclusion better than what M. Night came up with?
Ps. when he's having a pep talk with the fake tree, I finally came to realize this movie is a complete joke.

Does the same go for the unmarried 30-something male?

Single women in their 30's are just as crazy as the 23 year olds that are getting married right now. Every woman is an above 3 crazy. Live it, learn it.
Maybe if more people waited to get out of their pre-pubescent years to get married, there wouldn't be so many upper 20 year olds going through a divorce. I live in a small town where people get married in their early 20's and being in the bible belt think its either because they are dying to have sex without the sin or because they're bored. Its the "whats next" factor. A woman with the will to not settle until she's figured out what she wants in her mid-30's...good on her!

Agreed! The movie left out a few key details that the book seemed to display more. But overall, very emotional.
Especially with all of this 'dying with dignity' stuff going on right now.

I'm actually really excited to see it but have a lingering feeling like I'm going to leave the theater feeling like I've just been beaten with a switch.

In some states there are 100% financing for conventional and FHA loans. I would say that percentages for qualifying for those are pretty fair. In comparison.
