ESPN's Bill Connelly predicts that four teams from the SEC will make the 2026 12-team College Football Playoff.

Here's what the Connelly's Top-12 looks like, along with playoff matchups:
quote:

1. Indiana
2. Texas
3. Notre Dame
4. Georgia
5. Oregon
6. Ohio State
7. Texas Tech
8. Miami
9. Ole Miss
10. Texas A&M
11. BYU
12. ? (Group of 5)

First round:

No. 9 Ole Miss at No. 8 Miami (winner plays No. 1 Indiana)

No. 12 ???* at No. 5 Oregon (winner plays No. 4 Georgia)

No. 11 BYU at No. 6 Ohio State (winner plays No. 3 Notre Dame)

No. 10 Texas A&M at No. 7 Texas Tech (winner plays No. 2 Texas)

(* There was no Group of 5 representative in Schlabach's list as, between the coaching carousel and the talent drain that is the transfer portal, there's no obvious standout in the pool.)
What do you think?

Not a single brave selection outside of Indiana back at 1. Not a shot at Indiana, but just an acknowledgement of how much they will lose.
