Per VUcommodores.com: Virginia's Brandon Waddell pitched a complete game on Tuesday night and helped force a winner-take-all game three Wednesday night in the College World Series with a 7-2 win over the Commodores at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb.
Waddell went the distance, giving up five hits and two runs, with the Commodores scoring their lone runs in the second and fourth. With Vanderbilt leading, 2-1, the Cavaliers went ahead for good with a three-run sixth inning, and then added two more in the seventh. Waddell held Vanderbilt to only one hit for the final five innings. He improved to 10-3 on the year.
