Why don’t you come back and post a detailed trip report with photographs and I will be happy to update the sticky

You can also hit up Nettuno, just south about 45m by train. I went for the US Military cemetery, which was splendid, and large. The town itself is on the beach, and there aren't a lot of tourists that seem to be there.
There is also a hill (in Louisiana it would be considered a mountain) on the west side of the river that you can see almost all of Rome to the east. It's got a statue at the top, I think devoted to Emmanuel II (united Italy.) The name of the hill escapes me at the moment, but any concierge will know what you're talking about. There are essentially food and drink trucks at the top, so you can eat some gelato and look out upon the city and relax. Not a lot of tourists. There are a lot of steps to get to the top, but it's nothing like the step challenges in Japan.

My favorite part in Rome was the local pizza shops- did a different one each day.

Yeah, I agree. Diavola is the way to go, tiny bit spicy (I wouldn't even call it spicy at all). The common Roman pizza is perfectly sized for one person or so. Like I've said before, you want to get food in places that don't have menus in English, German, etc. There should be no other people speaking English anyplace you eat. Walk down off the main roads, find interesting stuff, eat there.
