Any recommendations? Going this weekend, weather looks kinda crummy so hopefully there are some indoor activities. Have a reservation for Red Ginger Saturday night but that’s about it

Workshop Brewing and Rare Bird are good rainy day spots for drinking. Filling Station has a covered patio, which would be fine, too, if the temperature allows you to sit outside.

OMG, that's about my favorite place in the country! It's SO beautiful and so much to do. We have friends that have a place on Sutton's Bay.
You'll have more things to do than time. Depends on the weather, how much time you have etc. So these are what I would do if I was going back. Most aren't far from each other and at most 30-40 minutes from town.
Things To Do
1. Gotta go to Big Bear Dunes. It's AMAZING. Lots of hiking in the area.
2. Go to Leland. Head straight to The Cove and get a "Chubby Mary"! (Look it up).
3. Go tubing or kayaking on the Platte River.
4. Go take a wine tour of the vineyards on Mission Peninsula. (Yes, they have a lot of great wineries there!)
Restaurants
Red Ginger is a fav, so good call there.
But my call? Stella's!!
The Village is the unique renovation of dozens of historic buildings formerly known as the Traverse City State Hospital. Not sure what I liked more...the food or the fact that we dined in a former mental hospital!
So much to do! Have fun!

Thanks for all the advice. GF is a vegetarian so I found your restaurant but wasn’t sure how much she would like the menu or the mental hospital bit haha. I’ll give it a second look.
It’s only a 2 night trip but we are in Michigan for the next 6 months or so so I’m sure we have time to go back. Especially if the weather isn’t cooperating this trip and we feel like we miss out.

Red Ginger is great so you'll certainly enjoy that. It's in the little village of Traverse City. Add that and some wine tours on the Peninsula and that would pretty much make up your weekend and your girlfriend would love it.
About 30 minutes away from there is an amazing restaurant called Blu. Higher-end but very romantic.

If you have time certainly drive up to Leland and try The Cove as mentioned above. Maybe go there for lunch and you can look out over the spillway and drink!
