Going next week, for a week...
Already have a few recs from the person whose house we're staying at... Just checking in to see if anyone else had any "must do" opinions...

We did a day trip from Cabo up to Todos Santos, and just as advertised, there was not really all that much to do for our young kiddos. So we stopped and took the obligatory photograph of the fraudulent hotel California and kept driving on to La Paz. This old building below was the most fascinating thing that I saw while driving through the town which was packed full of tourists trying to take pictures of that stupid hotel.
Here are some pics we took of Playa Cerritos which is actually before Todos Santos but I'm too lazy to reorganize this post. The one restaurant there did have a big picture of Matthew McConaughey on the wall when he was sitting at the bar there, so maybe that's their claim to fame. Overall the beach was extremely clean, very chill and laid-back and seemingly a great place to learn how to surf. We saw people of all ages taking lessons. The first pic is not the restaurant, that is Cerritos's lone major luxe resort at the top of the hill you can stay at, and from what I was told by the surf instructors it is a very popular spot for many celebrities to stay at (for those of you avid US Weekly subscription holders who follow all that shite.)
The restaurant/bar had some very funky, creepy, yet pleasantly eclectic art pieces scattered all over the place with seemingly no rhyme or reason but here are some close-ups of the ones I thought were pretty cool.
We drove towards La Paz and ended up driving an extra 20 minutes through (and right past) La Paz to a very small secluded beach called Playa Balandra, and here are a few pictures below. Anyone that has been here knows that the sky is really that color blue and the water is really that clear and that green, it was fricking paradise. You can take a private snorkel tour for $200 USD that brings you to a sea lion and sea otter natural habitat about 15 miles offshore. We tried to book it but apparently they only allow so many people over there per day to protect the animals, which I totally respect....but frick I missed out on a really cool thing!!

I’m down there quite a bit. I mostly sit around. It’s an artist colony so a lot of vegan greenpeace yoga types around with the activities that go with that. If you’re active… surf at Cerritos, rent atvs from Black Sheep motor sports (self guided with iPad gps and sat phone), check out some hidden beaches like Playas Las Palmas, get on a semi sketch boat and fish with some Mexicans at Punta Lobos. Restaurants below. Probably forgetting some.
Breakfast except I only drink coffee: Cafelix, DoceCuarenta, Baja Beans
Lunch: Oystera, Tacos Santo Chilote, Plaza Amigos, Barracuda (in Pescadero but opened in Plaza Amigos as well), any carnitas spot on the side of the road, Benno at Hotel San Cristobal
Dinner: Dum, Hierbabuena, Lucky 23, Noah, Jazamango, Casa Maya Pescadero, Green Room, El Mirador, Carlitos… il Giardino is ok.
Places I always see a lot of tourist in but aren’t great: La Generala, Las Adobes, the restaurant in Hotel California, Tequila Sunrise.
If you miss America or need to watch a game: Shakas in Pescadero.
Hacienda Cerritos is the big yellow building in the post above. It’s been closed for 2-3 years. The owner was an American guy. Feds busted him for something and the Mexican Ejido shut him down and took the property. It just sits there now. Listed for $15M if you’re interested.

Cool.. thank you both.
Your list has a lot of crossover... this is definitely a chill, get away from the Chicago winter, type of vacation...
