Some of the nicest cabins you will stay in, if you bring a boat or rent one the lake is really nice but besides that nothing to do

Just got back last night from my first trip there. Easy 3 hour drive from Frisco. Just girlfriend and me. We had a great time. Cabin was affordable, clean, and had what we wanted. Hot tub on back deck, fire pit, fireplace inside.
We went into town and ate at a local brewery. Also did a distillery tour at Hochatown Distillery. Both great times. We walked a few trails and enjoyed hot tub. Neighbors were far enough away to not be part of your experience.
I’m sure if your wine mom would complain that it’s a bit dirty or that the local restaurants aren’t classy enough but I think they were right what we were looking for.

We will take the kids with us next time and add in some kayaking and more outdoor stuff once it warms up.
