San Miguel de Allende

Has anyone ever been to San Miguel? I'm making a trip there in April to look for potential wedding venues. Any input on things to do, places to check out, etc. Would be appreciated. Also any input on where to fly into and how to get there would be helpful, i know there are a few options.

It's a cool town. Definitely check out the rooftop bar at the Rosewood Hotel. Lot's of great restaurants near the town center.
ETA: we flew into Queretaro and hired a driver to take us to San Miguel. I think it was about a 2 hour drive.
