Looking for something 8-10 hours from BR. Kid friendly (ranging from 1y/o to 9), Thursday - Monday type trip.
Love cabins and nature etc..
Open to other ideas.
Thanks in advance!

We have been there and love it. Considering that option again, was just curious if there was anything else out there I was unaware of.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Brevard area is a good place for a home base. Cool college town with a few good restaurants and in close proximity to a lot of hiking trails with waterfalls, fishing streams, whitewater rafting and tubing. Close to Asheville if you need big city stuff.
We rented a very nice VRBO halfway between Brevard and Asheville this summer for our family with some friends and it was a great trip.

For several years, we did family Thanksgiving at Big Cedar. Not sure if they’ll have it this year, but they do a huge buffett and you’d have to get reservations 6 months in advance. You didn’t have to stay on the property to get reservations.
