What is a good area to book a home or condo for about 5 couples? Plan to Uber to Broadway for Nightlife and Vandy for football game and women will probably want some shopping. Any recommendations?

I booked this place in 12 South. I defer to the board but I think that area might make sense. Germantown could be another option. Had to cancel and think it’s too small for you but here is the link:

Given your criteria, look for 12 South, around Lipscomb University, West End, or Sylvan Park. There are a couple of areas closer to downtown where Air BnBs are frequently robbed. The areas I mentioned are very close to shopping and Vandy and only a $15 Uber to Broadway. Also, very little crime and safe at night.

Depends on your preferences for vibe, proximity to attractions, and budget. FYI, Vanderbilt Stadium is located in the West End area, about 2–3 miles from Downtown (10–15 min drive).

Thoughts...

1. West End/Midtown. You could possibly walk to the stadium, avoid traffic, and still reach Downtown in 10–15 minutes for Nashville’s music scene. Look for Airbnb's near 21st or West End Ave for the easiest access.

2. 12 South. Maybe 10-15 minutes from Vanderbilt and downtown. Known for being a trendy area. A short ride to the stadium and offers some local charm as there are established neighborhoods in the area. You might not have as many Airbnb options. I will say we don't go down to this area much because parking can be oppressive (thus using Uber is good) and there seems to be a growing trend of car break ins in the area. (Note: Crime in this area is generally not a significant issue compared to areas like Downtown/SoBro, 12 South has less violent crime and fewer issues with public intoxication or vagrancy. It’s one of Nashville’s safer and more desirable neighborhoods for Airbnb stays).

I like the Germantown area for some of the restaurants but think it might be a little out of the way.

Search Read reviews for noise levels and safety, especially in transitional areas.
