Hi all,
Going on a cruise with family during New Years and leaving out of Ft. Lauderdale. Thinking about piggy-backing a couple of extra days in Miami.
Please give me recs on what to do, where to stay, and what to eat. Will be me, wife, and 4 year old staying the extra days.
Just want to have a couple fun days around town or at a resort/nice hotel.
Eating good will be a priority too after eating cruise food for a few days.

Definitely eat at Versailles in Little Havana.

I’ve never been on a cruise that had bad food…
What type of experience are you wanting to have in Miami? Want to be on the beach? Cultural? Relaxing?

Since you are probably going to get plenty of beach time, I’d tell you to get a room at The Biltmore and spend a night or two there. Spend some time on Calle Ocho. There is also a kids/science museum that’s pretty good. Along waterfront with great views of all the cruise ships as I recall.
Versailles wonderful. Sanguiche. Cafe La Trova. 4 year old limits things but not immensely. Busy time down there is all comprises reflect that.
Or go stay at JW Marriott in Aventura which has a waterpark your kid might enjoy and a great mall across the street with good food options (CVCHE and Motek)
