3 couples wanting to go for 4-5 days. We have been to Mujeras. Should we give it a try or stick with what we know? We enjoy beach all day drinking beer and good food. Thanks

Holbox is great. It's a chill, relaxing island.

Buckeye how are the restaurants and beach bars? Would you consider it to be like mujeras before it became so famous?

That's exactly how I would describe it. There are some pretty good restaurants on the island and the beach is nice and laid back. I still love Isla Mujeres but I think Holbox is probably like it was 10-15 years ago. Holbox has a lot of protected bird nesting grounds so you can't just go anywhere on the island.

I really want to go, but its a bit of a PIA to get to... I know that may be an appeal to some, but sometimes I dont want to deal with that on a vacation...
I think Todos Santos is my next Mexican destination...

It’s not bad. About a 2 hour ride via a private transfer. We had our guy stop at a store for beers for the ride. Then a short ferry ride and you’re there.

Don’t miss it. It’s an incredible place.
