Would be driving from New Orleans. Was considering heading north but with Laura’s westward trends it appears the beaches may be in play.

Looking for suggestions and I’m sure others are as well...

We were thinking about sneaking in one last trip in before the kids go back to school. Ours don’t start until after Labor Day. We were thinking about going because it looks like prices are coming down and other kids are already starting school back so it would be less crowded. We decided not to chance it because after Laura comes through there is supposed to be more rain coming in from the gulf. Now we are thinking about going mid to late week next week depending on weather. We don’t want to get caught up in the Labor Day crowds. We were looking at heading to Orange Beach but are open to anything from Orange Beach all the way to PCB. It would be my wife and 9 year old daughter. Are things still half open along the coast or are things getting back to “normal?” I know I’m asking about a large area but, we’ve done Orange Beach quite a bit and would like to try something different if things are open more in Florida. Any suggestions are appreciated?
