Has anyone heard the extent of the damage? Supposed to go in three weeks and the recording says they are closed with no opening date as of now. Suggestions for backup places would also be appreciated!

I'm not sure how high the water got there but based on what the Fairhope yacht club looked like, I would suspect the pier, the "beach" and possibly the pool and maybe lobby took on water. Most of the buildings are elevated so if there is no structural damage those will probably be fine.

Have you tried calling?

As for a backup...Is there a reason you need to be in that area? If so, then there is no comparable backup. If just for vacation, you would be better off visiting somewhere not declared a disaster area.

That’s great news I left the weekend before Sally and speaking to the Lakewood guys they were saying “good luck and we hope our luck holds as well “ . Glad to hear it wasn’t worse for the property
