Getting 5 people from the Northshore to Port of Orleans

Going on a cruise and have been hearing about lots of vehicles getting broken into in the port parking garage. What’s the best way to do get there?

Park at the Courtyard by Marriott (Galleria) and Uber / Lyft from there

My wife and I have ubered from Mandeville to Smoothie King Center for concerts. It was $60 each way or thereabouts, but cheaper than a DUI or busted window.

That’s definitely doable cost wise not really worried about that. But my problem is we will need an UberXL. They don’t typically have those here. Given my history with Uber, I’m afraid we will make a reservation for one and then the day comes and no one picks it up and we’re stuck having to drive.

Check out “northshore airport transportation”. They do all kinds of trips back and forth from New Orleans. I used them last year to get back and forth from my house in Covington to the Endymion ball at the Superdome. We had 5 of us. Reserved pickup at 3am to get home and they were ready outside waiting for us, no issues at all. Highly recommended.
