heading to Del Rio later this week. Does anyone know if you can walk into Cuidad Acuna, Mexico?

If you would’ve asked me back in the late 90s, I would’ve answered yes. We spent many a weekend in Acuna loading up at the pharmacy and ultimately selling “performance-enhancing products” to the football team. They were some pretty awesome bars we hung out while we were there, Ma Crosby’s was the one I remember

We made a fortune for the year (or so) we did it, it is nothing short of a miracle that we did not end up in jail.

You are supposed to have a passport/passport card.

But I've heard of some people that have crossed back into the USA with just their license.

I always have my passport on me, so I've never tried without.

Yeah they don’t really GAF if you don’t have your passport, especially if you’re obviously American (I.e. white or black). I stumbled back drunk asf from Juarez into El Paso a couple years back and had lost my wallet and didn’t have anything except a suitcase full of mezcal I had bought and they waved me on through without even looking in my suitcase. Guess they figured (probably correctly) that someone trying to traffick drugs wouldn’t be that fricking stupid

Cuidad Acuna, Mexico... everything was boarded up, dirty and no parking at all. we never got out of the car. I'll wait a few years before going back. It was way different then the last few times we went across the boarder there.
