No reason to be concerned even if it wasn't a day game. Not like you're going to take the Red Line south.

Anyway, what recommendations are you looking for? As someone else said, Sox fans throw good tailgates. There are a few fun bars, like Turtle, but probably not what you're looking for with a teenager. Bridgeport borders Guaranteed Rate and has a lot of good food options - Phil's Pizza might have the best tavern cut in the city. Otherwise, hit Maxwell or George's Gyros.

100% true. We went here last Tuesday night to watch the Astros and I paid 19.00 for 3 seats in the 100’s. We moved to the 2nd row directly behind 1st base in the 3rd inning when it was obvious nobody else was coming.

I actually enjoyed the white Sox game I went to over all the commotion of a cubs game

There’s a really solid Italian restaurant a few blocks north of the stadium - Franco’s Ristorante. We really enjoyed it during our trip to a Sox game. Just make sure to check their hours.

Eh, I wouldn't dig on nicholastiger too much. Wrigley / Wrigleyville doesn't have to be for everyone. Don't think there's much debate that, at times, it can be exceptionally crowded and overwhelming.
