I'm meeting family in Utah this summer and spending 9-10 days in the Canyonlands, Arch's, Monument Valley, Grand Canyon, and Lower Antelope Canyon areas. I've got on evening to myself before we meet up and I'd like to know if anyone has any suggestions on what to do in Capitol Reef. I'm leaning towards doing the Freemont Gorge Overlook trail right now.

Since you only have the afternoon, Fremont Gorge will be your best bet. It’s what I’d hike if I was in your shoes.

Apparently, I'm not meeting my crew until around 2:00 the next day. So I'll probably toss in another hike in the morning. How about the Grand Wash Trail?
