Best place within driving distance (6 hours) from BR area for long weekend 4 and 7 yo

Looking for ideas for a good place to take a long weekend within driving distance From EBR to take a 4 and 7 yo little girls. Looking at next weekend oct 8-11. Thought maybe Destin or even Galveston but not sure what those areas look like after storms. Doesn’t have to be beach either can be cabin or somthing similar and can also be place to drive the Jeep and sight see. TIA

So this isn't super helpful because we haven't been yet, so no review, but we're about to bring our kids (5yo and 3yo) to Blue Ridge, GA in mid October. Plenty of hiking trails and waterfalls, train ride, apple orchards, breweries and vineyards (can't all be about the kids), etc.
