At my old place I had a really nice rack in my spare bedroom (xrackpro 2 25u) that really silenced a lot of noise.
My new place will likely have a ventilated closet with big box fans pushing air out of the doorway.

Well, there's no one way to do this. It's a trial and error type thing. Newer ASUS motherboards have automatic voltage controls which work very well, so you just set the desired frequency multiplier and the MB handles the voltage. Other motherboards, this isn't the case. You have to play with voltages yourself. If you've never done it before, I suggest searching your CPU and motherboard BIOS utility on YouTube. Someone has an overclocking guide for you CPU/MB combo.
