Worthless RIAA issues C&D notice to youtube-dl citing DMCA violations

Two decades later, still playing whack-a-mole. They've kicked off the Streisand Effect, and the program is being massively publicized on the techy sites, so I figured I would post it here. Clones of the github code repository are multiplying rapidly, and of course there are thousands of linux distros that also have copies in their repos.
Anyway, I would hate for any of you to run afoul of the law, and since it is apparently illegal to use software on your own computer to download files from a website, I suggest that you uninstall your web browsers immediately.

Oh I know there are a thousand ways to do it (and youtube-dl still works, they just took down the code repository). I'm just bitching about the RIAA and our stupid laws.
