That's a good question. I don't know how the transmogrification from WiFi to cell works but my hunch is it wouldn't count because it's using my Comcast data. I'll try to find out.

It does use data when accessing the LTE mini tower just like it would if you accessed a full size LTE tower

How so? There's no cell signal anywhere near my house.

here you go. yep it looks like the data gets 'double dip' charged; both comcast bandwidth and tmobile 'data'.

i'm shrugging my shoulders because i'm on wifi when i'm in the house anyway and just use this to get phone calls and texts.

The coverage is huge for me..no need to buy a repeater or hassle with setting up an additional access point now because the 3000sf gives me much better coverage around my property. The hand-off from wifi to LTE is seamless.

i can actually work in the yard now with full coverage for phone calls.
