Why does the search feature in a Windows folder only work half of the time?

5 minutes ago I successfully searched for something and found it. I just tried to search for a word that I know is in the folder many times over, but it says no results found.

Agree that the search is hit and miss. I’m still mourning the demise of Google Desktop. That was an awesome indexing and search engine.

Get cygwin. grep -R and find work wonders.
