Ridiculous what it takes to get by their software.

IP Vanish is easily available and reliable.
I use it on all my mobile and at home devices. Android, Apple and Windows.

I use IP Vanish and when I use google I have to click all boxes with cars, buses, traffic lights, etc. Have to prove I am not a robot
I started using duckduckgo when I have IP Vanish enabled and do not have to jump through hoops.

VPN says you are somewhere else, in a different time zone even. Limits the reliability, and therefore profitability, of selling your data if it shows you are in Germany and active from 2am to noon EU time for instance.

Its not limited to VPNs. Basically any large scale network will run into this if there isn't a large revolving table of PATs for the network to use.
