If I recall correctly, that cooler originally comes with pre-applied thermal paste, so reminder that you're going to need to buy a little tube of it. No need to get fancy. A bit of MX-4 will be perfect for this: LINK

Well in that case, if Benny still has it but never used it, ignore me on thermal paste, because it's probably still pre-applied

Actually, visually inspect it. If it looks dried out, wipe it off with IPA and replace it. If it still looks semi solid, then you’re good.

Sorry for the confusion. I spec’d out the correct board. I was joking around about not understanding why I had made such a big deal about your board being shite when it wasn’t. Then I realized that the board you listed in the OP was an extremely different board than the one you, in fact, have

The hardware is, but we may need to update your bios. Do me a favor:
Go to your windows start button, hold the shift key and click restart (you can let go of shift now). This should load you into the blue windows recovery screen. I can’t remember what they are called, but hit down then enter, down then enter, down then right then enter (just please make sure you don’t reset to factory settings or something…). This should restart you into BIOS/UEFI. When that loads up, it should list the version of your BIOS somewhere. Get that and post it here.
