I call tech support across multiple brands daily, opening cases and troubleshooting issues. Does it seem like the knowledge level, averaged across manufacturers, of the people on the other side of the phone, has massively declined?

LVL1 answer the phone, opens a ticket, and waits on somebody who kinda knows what's going on to respond. This has been normal for 20 years.
