I would say in the course of an hour my mouse and keyboard freeze 15-20x times.
if i'm in the middle of typing the last letter gets reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepeated until the interrupt is over. i can tell that's whats going on because my mouse doesn't move for these 1-2 seconds either.
super annoying.
i have no devices connected and my company pushes system updates so i have no ability to change any internal drivers. i also don't have any crazy software on my laptop (again, my company controls this) so its mainly office, teams, beyond compare & notepad++.
this is just a wild shot in the dark that someone else has had this happen and might know how to fix it.
with my limited access to the registry & device drivers and the fact we're all remote right now i don't really have a way to get this to our MIS group.
its annoying as frick.
eta anything look suspicious here?

i have a surface laptop 2.
using bluetooth mouse and keyboard.
never an issue with the keyboard but would get mouse freeze as you indicate repeatedly for about a month in March (wasn't the batteries).
Don't know what I did but it's stopped as of a month ago. it often happened when I had zoom open.
have office enterprise like you.
probably not much help

I have a newer Surface laptop for work and have no issues. I did have that exact issue on the Dell XPS I used prior. Dell Support could never fix it so I moved on to the Surface laptop.

I have 3, in different versions, for the office. Not having issues with any of them

its really bad today. every 10th sentence i type it freezes.
task manager is useless.
i tried some random suggestion of turning 'windows search' off in msconfig and restarted but that had no impact.
probably a bad driver somewhere but i dont have the ability to turn off 'driver updates' since my company manages that.
