Streaming media box?

Hi folks,
A local company is advertising a Louisville Media Box, and they say you have it and it gets hundreds of channels and movies for "free".
Anyone know how these work, and are they legit? I have ATT Fiber now, and Hulu plus live TV currently. Do you have to have a box for each TV in this scenario?

They have a Facebook page with a link to a dead website if that tells you anything.

Yeah, I found that. They have 3 videos on youtube that were filmed with a potato.
But it appears lots of people are buying them, and they are popular locally.
I just don't know if those somehow different than buying hulu and netflix for instance.
