Sideload apps to firestick/box without an additional PC

The adb sideload app wouldn't work to sideload Kodi on my new firetv box, after looking for alternatives, I came across this tutorial that shows you how to sideload apps to the firetv using just the device itself. It worked exactly as the tutorial laid it out.

I installed something that way a while back but I don't remember what it was. Apps2Fire is what I've been using lately with no issues.

You can also download the apk to a computer on the same network as your firetv. Then in Kodi, install from the "Windows network". Find the folder on the computer you downloaded the apk to and install.
